unwilling to ever really allow men's fate to change. After 16+
centuries, they've never admitted they've been wrong about
anything, insisting their doctrine has always been infallible. In
some ways, men often referred to as dinosaurs are simply trying
to keep hold of the sacrificial role the church created, not trying
to just be the last hold-outs of an archaic lie. Maybe there IS a
monster in Loch Ness. Maybe it's just a vestige of a species the
church claimed never existed (most fundamentalist xians insist
dinosaurs never existed) but we can easily see why it would
remain so elusive...and good thing it has! We woulda killed
it by now! There was a time that men like Eliot Ness were
roaming free and even they are an endangered species,
regarded as a disposable model of manhood. If we all carry
in us the codex for our 200,000 y.o. evolution from caveman
to current mankind maybe everything in it is necessary, inesca-
pable. The church is the only thing still claiming it makes no
mistakes. Isn't THAT the relic? If we've evolved at all, it should
be the maturity to admit failure/error. Let's take men off the
cross and stop blaming them for everything! This Sunday,
tend to some wounds, swaddle your man in love, because he
can still rise from the dead. We can resurrect A Good Man.
We've all gone through so many altered states: who knows
what will be next? Whatever it is -- if 'Nessie' is still lurking in
the murk (and I hope she/he is!) we're all going to need
everyone of us at our best! I'm not sure any of us are.

Not being Racist! Honest-to-Betsy! While I didn't enjoy my time in China/
Taiwan/Japan I have a lasting love for the culture including the language
I no longer get a chance to speak/use. If Happiness has a language it's
HAPPYNESE...and since we're on the subject of MEN and heroism...
ULTRAMAN vs. RACER-X? If you didn't know, the 1966 Japanese series
totally WHOOPS Godzilla's reptilian ass as far as popularity...SPEED RACER
not so much; and the 52 episodes of its single season still inspired a
lame movie whereas ULTRAMAN...hmmmm...not so many ULTRAMEN
nowadays...something we don't really need to remedy!
ULTRAMAN may be a glorified protector, but RACER-X
almost secretly watched over his brother and others
with little or no glory whatsoever! In HAPPYNESE
that's what I'd call HERO SHIMA ('shima' means 'Island')
Being a truly noble hero -- and maybe being a truly
noble man -- means an awfully isolated life. All these
heroes have one thing in common -- they were ALONE.
IDIOTIC comes from the GREEK 'idios' meaning alone or
private. Are people who choose to be alone just
...stupid? Is being heroic a lonely, stupid lifestyle?
Hmmmm. All you ULTRAMEN and RACER-X sweeties...
Don't be alone...there's no need to...you're loved!
The Mayans invented zero and the Chinese worked it deeply into what we
now teasingly joke "harder than chinese math"; but it was the Japanese that
created a culture of what D. called 'seducing zero' or the pursuit of true
HUMILITY -- the ambition to become an almost invisible but necessary
component of creation, without which we could not have the science
and intellectual mechanics we now have but barely noticed, let alone
glorified. Men have quietly (often without any praise) carried us all into

The Japanese culture of humility is heroic in my books. American...

really fit in to their world or time; and most of them are never adequately
appreciated/respected. This morning I'll be watching some ULTRAMAN and
SPEED RACER. Then maybe some SPEED BUGGY hehehe. Is it just me or is
every 60s-70s cartoon chick super-fuckin hot?! And they aren't even
superheroes! Even Velma is kinda doable with that easy-access pleated
skirt! But Daphne, the pussycats, teen angels etc...I just wanna 69 all of them!
Maybe I'm just a nympho! Oh right! Now I remember...I'm a nympho!
But since we're also on the bunny thing...Everyone agrees Jessica Rabbit
is the sexiest TOON even though she's
not a rabbit. I think my boobs are as

It's been months since I made

I love going for walks in my

TAKE THAT LOOK OF WORRY...
If there's one thing travel is
perfect for, it's reminding you
how great HOME is. I don't
remember as much about
China/Taiwan/Japan as I
used to, partially because I

like the experience at all.
Like Mexico, the beauty in

Summer is forever in my

RESPECT THE EVERYDAY HEROES
Real MACHISMO isn't a gun
or a big penis, it isn't a loud
voice, flashy car, impressive
job or a fist. By far, the best
BADASS I've ever seen on
screen or in a book was
MR. CHAPEL. For a blessed
while, he quietly -- but effec-
tively brought justice down
on those who had dodged

fresh, warm slippers, a fresh warm robe and I still look at men the way
women used to look at men. I don't have to fake my respect. It's 100%
natural. Some say it's in my DNA but I believe I've become familiar
enough with where all this began that I can actually admire men for
bearing with it all as well as they have. There's going to be a reckoning
someday...things will get........................readjusted. I wish I were going
to be there when it happens. Samuel Jackson has had a pretty prolific
career as THE MAN (a so-so movie) but never was there a more perfect
duo than JACKSON/WILLIS as the 20th CENTURY's two THE MANs
Both of them GILMOREs! Having met and hung out with Bruce (he was
D.'s best friend) I can say this...don't pack your bags just yet MEN!

AROUND and get a little hyper-inthe-diaper!...before there's a nasty
accident and everyone leaves the room. HAHAHAHA. I'm missing my
usual basketball visits downtown to see the games. Several times I got
to go back and meet the dancers, even a couple limos with a few of
them tagging along (when D. was around). I'm not sure if the footage
I took for those is still up somewhere in the annals of my MDV but....
I'm HOPEful that this fall we will all be wHOOPing it up again for
our RAPTORS and our city, our country, our awesome home!
PEPPER losesherdamnmind whenever a larger ball (she doesn't do
quite the same insanity for smaller balls) is set off BOUNCING so...
mockingly...HAHAHAHAH! She must seize and destroy it, show it she
