We're about to enter the coldest
month of the year and it's time

watching Stallone's CLIFFHANGER
reminded me how much he loved
climbing. It's easy these days to feel
like we're climbing -- almost falling --

IMPORTANT PROTOCOL UPDATE:
Obviously things have escalated. COVID has gone a teensie bit rogue on the
current vaccine and the standard virus is still stacking things up.
Ergo, safety protocols must be intensified and enforced without complaint
or resistance. I've been strictly choosey and will continue to be so.
However, safety starts with us all continuing to isolate. If you genuinely must
have your mental health intimacy then it's critical you get in your car and
-- without any stops or contact with others -- make your way to my oasis and
accept the measures herein for your well-being as well as mine and others'.
These are the times we all need to stand together on the bandwagon!

we will all celebrate his birthday as

Regan (one of my wives) was
(mostly) living here this year after
D.'s death and has now gone to
EDMONTON to help with her
parents and with B. also back
home (mostly) this will be my first
time ever really being mostly......
alone in the house. It will be weird
but grief cannot turn my heart
to stone. I am a wafting cotton,
drifting wisps of snow-powder.

As humans we have always had a comical
way of making FAILURE a mixed blessing.
I (quite literally) was speechless at the end
of 2020, exasperated as so many are
with the first real challenge of the post-
Nagasaki world in which we've been
skating along on a very thin layer turning
circles into an infinity that could last only
as long as the blades didn't cut clean
through. My original plan for JANUARY
couldn't coalesce. So, in lieu of my more
ambitious design, I'm settling into this
one, maybe gleaming the cube. I'm square,
there's no doubt. Without booze, drugs and
other vices, I am disturbingly conscious at a
time it would be good for a coma to come
on hard & fast. It is time for us all to start the
long, icy march back to...well...maybe not
'back' at all. Forward. Full-steam.
Ahead. I like that. A 'head'.
Let's crack things open, LET GO and see

missing It's the time that I spend alone
